For the poor youth of today....

I hope to reach the youth of today, which are from the poor families. I have an important message I need to get across. I know that even if you are poor, you have access to the media. Online, print out, or whatever means, this can reach you.

If you are not poor or doesn't belong to the poverty line or even below that, stop reading. If you didn't experience to go to school with just enough money to pay for transport, or not even enough actually, stop reading. If you didn't experience to eat rice, with just some sugar on top, or maybe soy sauce, or if lucky maybe a tomato, stop reading. You wouldn't understand.

I see poor people everywhere. Some of my relatives as well are poor. And so I am writing...

It is difficult to be poor. It is hard. We know this day by day. And with so much crimes happening, some gives up somewhere along the way and just gives in to the cruel world. They turn into drug addicts, thief, or some gets pregnant. But this doesn't have to be your ending. There is a way out. This is cliche. But I tell you, it is true! Deny yourself this chance and you will regret it one day, maybe too late. My advise is very simple: FINISH YOUR STUDIES. And I mean college, yes. There will be people snobbing saying nahhh, even if you dont, you can still earn money. Yes, that's true! But would it be enough to change your life? Would it move you to the suburbs ? Would it give you the chance to help your love ones?? Most probably not!!!  The money you will be earning would be enough maybe for a year or two of going out, buying you things, you think you need.

It is not bad to dream. It isn't bad to think that there could be something better for yourself. GOD created this beautiful world we are in. Take it one day at a time. Don't dwell on it too much. But set the goal of finishing your studies. Afterwards, you do the math. It would take you to places you'eve never think you can go. It can be the stepping stone you need. Yes it would still be the same world you were living in. But it would give you an edge. How to use it afterwards is all up to you.

Lend a Hand!

Sponsor a child in the Philippines to school for only 600 Php every month!

It is possible, a lot of children have graduated under this program. Do your research if you don't believe me. I did mine.

Your monthly coffee expenses is way morrre than the monthly contribution they need. Ok maybe it's not coffee, it could be your mani-pedi spa treatment or your favorite food that you cannot live without, but you get the point!

Go to their website to understand more: https://www.worldvision.org.ph/sponsor-child/

The New Era

I honestly don't know where to start but don't get me wrong I've got so many ideas just don't know which one to go for first! Ha ha....Ok chill.... It has been 6 yrs or more that I haven't really blogged. Please don't count the previous one before this, that was more of an excitement shout out! So it has been too long, and so many things happened already, for instance:

- We now have 3 children, all boys, ages 9, 6 and 2. Yes my life is exciting! It is a wonderful adventure everyday! Thank you.

- We now live in a very very far far far place from work. This story needs it's own article to be justified. It is horrific in one way, but a blessing in another. Hmm feels like I'm making an outline of my next write ups.

- We now are in a much more comfortable mode of living. No need to ask me how, I will blog it all! Ha ha Yep you should know by now I don't hide much. Cliche as it is, my life is an open book.

- We (yes my other half) and myself, are both M now. Yes it could mean we are both masochist ha ha, or better both matured, or yes that could mean we are both an addict to my favorite fast food chain of all, lets sing, I'm loving it! Keep on guessing, you'll get there.

- We have stricken down some of the things in our bucket list. Yes we have one! Don't you? i.e. visited the romantic city, saw some of the world's basilica, visiting Hitler's descendants and eating their chocolate pretzel, arrrgggg yumminesssss cant forget!

- My little brother (which is not really so little anymore) is in Dubai now, well almost a year now. But anyway that is amazing! Have prayed for it for so long, and it did come true!

Of course there are some negative stuff that happened along the way, it's life.

- The unrest in some part of the world is getting worst. No words. Christmas is around the corner. Let there be peace. With this, stock market all over crashes. Again, no words.

- China doesn't seem to be backing off with it's plan to seize all islands in their neighboring countries. Not only in Philippines, their doing it to Taiwan, Maldives and even Japan. Although our friends from USA is not sleeping on this, the thought of it escalating gives me the creeps.

- Crime level in the Philippines is now outrageous. Our countrymen is known to be courageous and madiskarte. Unfortunately some people are using it to their own selfish needs. It's nothing new, yes we are a poor country but that shouldn't mean we should take advantage of others. Specially if its the people who day in day out goes to work and try their best to make a living. The it's more fun in the Philippines tag, can now be changed with so many bad words. Sad.

- The saddest part of all, my favorite Aunt is now in heaven. She is surely missed. Ironic, but at the same time, no more pain mama.

Blessed state, AGAIN!!!

Yes Im on a blessed state again...yihihihih 3 months to be exact and just like before I want to chot down the stuff I want to remember about being pregnant for the 2nd time:

1. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzsleepy all time. From the moment I opened my eyes in the morning...all throughout the day....and till the time I lay to bed at night....I feel sleepy. The doctors says its going to be better after the 3rd month, how I wish!

2. I first quenched for Sarsi, yep our very own version of rootbeer. Thank God I saw it in reef mall like before all saints day. I realize I am really craving for this bec. I only bought 2 cans. And I didnt even ask my hubby or my Mom if they want some. I gulped down 2 cans by myself but mind you, it took me 2 months to finish the last can. Hihihi

3. The ever famous bulaklak ng saging. My hubby went searching every Filipino shop there is in Dubai and came home empty handed every time. I was feeling so frustrated he actually decided to make one. Took it fresh from a puso ng saging then there it was, swimming in my paksiw na pata.... Ironically my hubby actually found one bag of tuyong bulaklak ng saging from Sunrise grocery when Im already over it....

4. I can also remember once I craved for a vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup which is just normal right....But you know what else...I wanted fresh strawberries toppings!!! Which is if you know me, its like me and the color orange, just doesnt mix at all!!!

I will update this from time to time...bear with me! hihihih

The suit

Just another tit and tat.

When any guy puts on a suit, he magically transforms himself to a dashing, handsome, super hot kind of guy. But if a lady does the same, not very flashy isn't it? For us ladies, we have to wear evening gown, with matching shoes or sandal, and dont forget the accessories, i.e. jewelries and bags. And we have to do our hair and nails too! How unfair???

The conflict

Is this the art of war?

How many more innocent people will suffer because of these barbaric acts?

Aren't we advance enough, technology wise, to identify which people should not be affected?

I do not condemn any side. I for one knows that if anybody hurts my own blood, I will fight back in return. Could this be not the case? Couldn't they have been wounded first? Everybody is saying this is a terrorist act. That a city is being vanished as I write this, and no world leader dares to stop them all.

Don't believe everything you see, or hear.

Feliz Navidad!!!

I want to greet everybody a Merry Christmas!!!

2008 is a blast for all of us, or most of us I think.

I hope this year's holiday's season can be as meaningful and great as the year before.

I dont really say this to my family, relatives, friends, enemies, but Im going to say it today, thru this blog, hehe....Thank you for everything. You might have done something good, bad, or nothing at all, whatever, but in your own way, you still affected/made me what I am today. Very much fulfilled and satisfied.

With warm wishes,I want to sing my favorite Christmas song to all of you:

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

WTF!!!

What kind of a person can shot a 7 yr old to death????

http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/10/27/illinois.shootings.hudson/index.html

The medical examiner positively identified the body found in the white Chevrolet Suburban as Julian King, Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis said Monday afternoon.

Julian had been shot to death, said police spokeswoman Monique Bond.

Police are collecting evidence from the Suburban and reviewing surveillance tapes from all over the city as the investigation continues, Weis told reporters.

"There's a lot of work to be done. We'll be sure we go through this thoroughly," he said.

Asked about possible motives, Weis said, "We don't know what the motive really was at this time. But, clearly you have people who do know each other, so it wasn't a case of a stranger-type homicide."

Earlier Monday Deputy Chief Cmdr. Wayne Gulliford said police found the body inside a parked white Chevy Suburban with a license plate matching the description in the child's Amber Alert, after responding to "a call about a suspicious auto" on Chicago's West Side at approximately 7 a.m.

He had no details on the body, pending the medical examiner's report.

Julian has been missing since Hudson's mother and brother were found dead in their home Friday. Video Watch police say they've ID'd the body »

Over the weekend, Hudson offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her nephew.

"Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely," Hudson said in a posting on her MySpace page Sunday. "If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately."

Fact Box

• Julian King, 7, is Jennifer Hudson's nephew and Julia Balfour's son

• Julia Balfour is Jennifer Hudson's sister and Julian's mother

• Julia Balfour's estranged husband is William Balfour, who is in police custody

• Michele Davis-Balfour is William Balfour's mother

• Jennifer Hudson's mother Darnell Donerson and brother Jason Hudson were found shot to death Friday in Chicago

Hudson also posted two pictures of her nephew wearing the brown-and-orange striped polo shirt he was wearing when he was last seen.

Earlier, Hudson viewed the bodies of her mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, the Cook County medical examiner's office told CNN on Sunday. They were found shot to death Friday in their South Side Chicago home. Video Watch the latest on the Hudson case »

Julian's stepfather, William Balfour, was detained over the weekend for questioning in connection with the case, a police spokesperson told CNN. He was subsequently transferred to prison on a parole violation charge, the spokesperson said.

No charges had been filed against anyone in connection with the murders.

According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Balfour, 27, spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.

Chicago news station WLS reported Saturday that Julian was not with Balfour when he was detained

Teka, lumindol, hinto muna. Kakaiba to. Nalindol din pala sa bansang ito.

The Pills

I started taking these set of pills that should help me in losing weight, yep losing weight. I believe I need it,though a part of me isnt convince really. Hhowever Im so lazy I dont want to exercise nor reduce the food Im taking in on my own. So it boils down to the choice of this expensive, actually very expensive pills and the result are as follows:

- pee,pee,pee

-hot flushes

-hyper mode

-drink lots of water (more than 3L already!! and Im not really a water person, I can handle 3 pitchers of iced tea but give me 2 glasses of water and I si want to throw up)

I dont know what else would happen to me in the next couple of hours. I sure hope I dont pulpitate as other people experienced. Ive tried to stop eating rice/carbo this year from January to March but I ended up sick. Same thing with the cheap diet pills I purchased from a pharmacy, quite famous actually, after 2 weeks without a weight drop, I got sick too. And yes Im hard headed I dont tend to listen when people say its bad, dont take that kinda unsolicited advice.

I sure hope this one works.

The Art of Moving On

This is not a break up blog. Hehe.

The roman gods are finally pleased with me, they granted a long time wish of mine, to move to a place where it's just me, my husband and my baby. It's going to happen on Monday!!! (Clap clap clap) I sure hope this clears out everything toxic in my system. Somebody asked me how many times did we move for the past 3 years in Dubai, let me count thee:

1. Al Baraha (Alys)

2. Satwa

3. Al Karama

4. Al Baraha

5. Al Rigga

6. Naif

7. Al Baraha

8. Hamriyah

9. Al Ghusais

To answer that, Al Rashidiya is the 10th place in Dubai.

And yes, this is normal in Dubai.

Happiness....and all that

Who knows the meaning? Real meaning? Do you? Can you share it to me please? The material things can't buy me happiness that's for sure.

Im in the point of pondering on what on earth can my problem be. I feel lonely, when in fact Im not alone. Others say I have everything I can ask for in front of me but I just need to appreciate it. The world is still in it's proper order, the sun still comes up in the morning, darkness creeps in at night.

If there is a code to decipher what exactly Im into right now, can anybody share it please?

Winning Moments

Jon always says NO, WHAT, THERE, OK, HAPPY, PLEASE, THANK YOU

Jon loves to sing: Barney is a dinosaur, Skip Skip, Twinkle Twinkle, I love you, Row Row

He can make simple sentences already but you have to be witty to catch it...ha ha

Where:Peekaboo (a play area in MOE) When: Friday morning

Who: 5 yr old Katrina (Brit) & My 2 yr old Jon

Katina: This is an apple

Jon: No, mango

Staff from Peekaboo: Does he speak Tagalog?

Mommy: Hahaha

(They are referring to a small yellow thingy looking fruit)

Another scene

Where:Carrefour (grocery in MOE)

When: Friday afternoon

Who: Mommy & Jon

(Jon sitting in the grocery cart. Helps Mommy by putting all the things Mommy picks up from the shelves to the cart. Mommy keeps on doing it, 1/2 Kg Beef, 1/2 Kg Beef Tail, 1/2 Kg Beef Cubes..

Jon: ENOUGHHHH MOMMMYYYYYY

Mommy: Hahahaha

(Filipina standing next to us bluntly staring at my son)

...If it was really up to me, my baby would be speaking fluent english, or at least most of the time. Sadly our present condition doesn't allow that. Its not that I don't want him to learn our own language, of course I do. Anyhow I know it would get better in time.

So done

I would like to say thank you for everybody...wahehe parang famas. Serious now, stop joking around. I made it another day, and it does seem brighter than yesterday. With this I would like to say thanks, to my the ever special persons in life, the support team that came from every walk/direction. Those who go online with just a whisk that Im not ok today, hey hey hey. Thanks for the messages again (kahit txt kahit ym ok na), thanks for sharing the sermon/wisdom (kasi oo matatanda na kayo), and thank you sa pagpaparamdam ulit ng mga (yes mga) mga taong nawalan na ng communication for maybe 5 years or more and swwwwopppp...here they are again. Sabi nga friendship doesnt need togetherness at all times. I really missed you guys and please naman stay in touch? Di na ako magmemention ng names..bato bato sa langit...ang tamaan adik! hehehe
